Just some guys who love games

There are five pips on the die in our logo that represent the five of us that make up Falling Up Stairs Games LLC.

We’re all lovers of board games and we all love the process of designing our own. We believe that working together helps us improve on what we could accomplish separately and (let’s be honest) the accountability to move our games along the road to reality is paramount. We all need a little push now and then to take our games from the scratch paper to the gaming table.

What’s with the name of your company?

The original idea to come together to design better games started with Phil and Scott. When Scott moved in as a next door neighbor to Phil, they became fast friends enjoying their shared love of board games. So on many a night Scott and Phil would travel between their houses with games in tow on these “stairs” pictured here.

Scott, being the notorious klutz that he is was making his way UP these stairs one day when… Yeah, you can probably guess.

It should be noted that these aren’t the ONLY stairs Scott has fallen up (or down) on.

Meet the guys

Designer, Artist

PHIL

Phil is married and has a daughter he never sees now because she’s 16 and has her driver’s license. He works in the printing industry.

Out of all of us he’s probably designed the most games in his life but thanks to FUS he’s really getting serious about it now and is working very hard to get one of his games published. He loves the beach, Jimmy Buffet and rum (but not too much).

Designer, Web Specialist

Scott

Husband, father of two. Does data stuff professionally.

He’s been the host of a weekly board game group for years which inspired him to design the first version of Game Night the Game.

He really hates red tape and would make a lot of impulsive and possibly bad decisions to avoid it were it not for the other members of FUS.

Designer, Production Specialist

Chad

He lives in Ohio. Weird, right?

Harrison

Designer, Social Media Specialist

Our resident staunch Republican. He keeps the team balanced with his astute, poignant and sensible political views.

SHAUN

Legal, Voice of Reason

An actual lawyer which of course we give him crap about. He has a daughter that’s about to graduate high school and is hoping to get into film production.

We don’t know much else about Shaun except that he looks dang good in a fedora and makes an excellent and very sophisticated charcuterie board.

He might be The Hulk though. He claims this image is totally real.
